My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based. I believe that positive change comes from unconditional positive regard and connecting with someone who allows you to feel heard and understood. It is my view that a therapist does not solve all of the problems, but joins you in a journey as therapy is a process where you and I work together to collaborate in your treatment and determine what works best for you in your unique circumstances.
For many of my clients with anxiety-related issues, I have found that a cognitive-behavioral approach is often most helpful. In other cases, positive change comes from identifying the healthy coping skills and tools that work best for you.
